THERAPY
Here For You
Therapy plans are developed jointly by the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and family. While the SLP will make recommendations regarding frequency (how often) and duration (how long), the ultimate goal is to develop a treatment plan that works for you and your family.
Therapy can be provided in a variety of locations including: the office, your home, or other agreed upon locations.
In some instances, group therapy may be recommended. Small groups are used particularly to work on goals that involve social skills or conversation skills.
Therapy looks different depending on the goals, but it is always supposed to be fun! Often goals are targeted through games and play.
Your involvement in the therapy sessions is one of the keys to success. Our goal is not only to help improve skills but also to increase your confidence in working on these skills.
